Before Orientation

Placement Testing: You will need to complete the Math, Chemistry and English placement exams prior to your orientation session (see below).

Sending AP Scores: You can view AP scores sent to UConn on your transfer credit report.  If you have not done so already, be sure to submit your AP information through College Board.  For questions about UConn’s receipt of your scores, please contact UConn Admissions

Accepting (or Rejecting) ECE Credit (if applicable) : You will be able to accept (or reject) any ECE (non-degree) credit after your first semester at UConn. The deadline will be in December. More information about this policy can be found at UConn’s Non-Degree Decisions site.

Getting transfer credit evaluated:  If you are anticipating transfer credit from any external institution, first request an official transcript be sent from that institution to UConn Admissions. Often, credit must be further evaluated by faculty content experts once the credit arrives – this will be displayed on your transfer credit report. You should have all credit evaluated prior to attending Orientation.
